Glittered New Year’s Candles

I saw these glittered sparkle candles (below) at DIY Craft Projects and knew I had to knock them off!

It’s an easy diy project that adds lots of sparkle to any tablescape. I did mine in only silver glitter but any color of glitter will work.

What you’ll need is…

  • 4 white candles (3 x 3 inches)
  • 2 inch vinyl numbers
  • Mod Podge or spray adhesive
  • Acrylic spray sealant

First, I applied the vinyl numbers in the center of each candle.

Then I brushed on the Mod Podge. You can insert an exacto knife or sharp skewer into the bottom of the candle to hold it more easily.

Then, I sprinkled the glitter all over the candle.

I applied the Mod Podge and glitter two times allowing it all to dry for about an hour in between applications. Carefully pull off the vinyl letters. I used an exacto knife to ease them up.
